Access Statement For Hunter's Hall.
Introduction
At Hunter’s Hall we aim to cater for the needs of all of our guests to ensure that their stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Open all year round we are a four star establishment offering bed & breakfast accommodation. We are constantly maintaining the high standards necessary to ensure that our guests feel satisfied during their stay with us. We will meet your specific requirements and needs during your stay.

A website is available but as yet we do not take on-line bookings.
Details of suitability of rooms for guests with mobility impairment with particular emphasis on the safety of all of our guests.
Information about public transport and routes, types of public transport, distance, accessibility.
Dogs are allowed to stay in selected rooms only.
Availability of accessible taxis.
Directions available on the website and via post.
We are happy to make arrangements with you regarding your arrival over the phone or via email prior to your stay.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Guests are asked to abide by the 10mph speed limit imposed on our property.
The Carrick Estate is still a working farm and guests are reminded to be vigilant to farm hazards including farm traffic, especially those guests with children.
There is ample free parking on site with designated disabled car parking facilities.
The car park surface is gravelled.
Check-in is from 1.00pm.
We allow guests to park near the property to offload luggage and disembark. Guests are then asked to park in the main car park.
Assistance with luggage is offered to guests.
Reception is accessed along gravel paths. A bench is available outside the front of reception and in the courtyard areas. Wheelchair users may access reception via the courtyard area.
Water bowls can be provided for dogs.
If reception is closed there is a notice on both entrances to reception giving details of where guests are to go or who to contact.
Main Entrance & Reception
Reception is open 0800 to 1800 daily
On arrival at reception there is a large reception desk (111cm high) where guests are asked to sign in on a guest registration form. A lower desk is also available for guests in wheelchairs to sign in.
Assistance is offered to guests should it be required.
Assistance is offered with luggage.
Additional keys to rooms are available upon request.
Also available from reception are various leaflets and booklets detailing local places of interest to visit.
Public Areas
There is a sitting room in the farmhouse with access to a TV and Freeview. This area is also known as "Peggy's Pantry". A quiet lounge area is available with open fire place and two sofas and coffee table. Guests are only allowed to use these areas at the discretion of the management. The kitchen facilities are not available to bed & breakfast guests.
Coin operated laundry facilities are available by way of a washing machine and tumble dryer. These are situated outside the public toilets.
There is a payphone situated in the lobby outside the public toilets. Guests using the payphone will need to dial 9 for an outside line. Details of who to contact in an emergency are detailed on a notice next to the phone.
We have a notice board in the foyer detailing upcoming events at Hunter's Hall and the local area.
Public WCs
The public toilets are situated in the lobby behind reception through the courtyard area. There are gents, ladies and disabled toilets. Within the disabled toilets there are also baby changing facilities.
Bedrooms
We have 9 bed & breakfast rooms, all of which vary in size and offer good space for guests. Most rooms provide en-suite accommodation. Where en-suite accommodation is not available guests share bathroom facilities.
Sanitary ware is of a very good quality. All bathrooms have vinyl flooring throughout. Lighting is available over all bathroom mirrors.
We have 4 en-suite rooms in the courtyard, all ground floor. One of the Courtyard Rooms has disabled facilities. One of these rooms is a family room with double or twin bed and bunk beds. The other two rooms are double or twin rooms. All with en-suite facilities.
The Farmhouse has 3 bedrooms. One room at ground floor level and two on the 1st floor all with en-suite facilities.
Gig House is a self-contained ground level building with two bedrooms and shared bathroom facilities. Access to Gig House is via the gravelled path. Disabled guests can have access to the room via the patio entrance as via the front entrance there is a slight step. The bathroom in Gig House is also suitable for disabled or mobility impaired guests. Gig House 1 consists of double or twin bed accommodation. Gig House 2 is a large room with double or twin bed and bunk beds. This room also has kitchen facilities – cooker, fridge freezer, and microwave and a dining table with 4 chairs. Gig House is the only accommodation where we allow dogs to stay.
There are TVs in all the bedrooms.
Rooms will be serviced daily.
Guests are reminded that all rooms are non smoking.
Guests wishing to smoke must use the smoking shelter on the main Hunter’s Hall terrace.
Guests are asked to vacate their rooms by 10.30am.
Breakfast Room
Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.00am. Continental style breakfast is included within the cost of the room.
If an alternative breakfast is required this may be ordered on arrival at an additional charge. An earlier breakfast can be pre-booked at reception one day in advance. Guests help themselves to starter items and cold drinks from the buffet.
Details about the breakfast are given to guests on arrival.

Evacuation procedures are provided in all rooms and the fire assembly points are clearly marked.
